2nd Annual PSO Fundraiser

Our 2nd Annual PSO Tournament of Readers Fundraiser is here! The theme this year is “Believe in the Impossible,” encouraging our scholars’ imagination and creativity. Last year was a huge success, with our scholars raising over $9,000 to support our scholar events (Heritage Fair, Harvest Festival, Mother-Son event, Father-Daughter dance, to name a few), as well as grants for our teachers.

Our goal this year is for each scholar to collect 10 donations to sponsor them in a reading challenge. Each scholar will be participating in a 10-day reading challenge where they will read 10 hours in 10 days. At the end of the 10 days, the scholar who reads the most in each class will be earning a prize and recognition. In addition, the class with the highest average minutes read will be earning a root beer float social for their class. We encourage ALL scholars to participate, and so for scholars who are younger and may not be reading yet, they may count time they are read to. For our older scholars (grades 6-8), they will have the option to complete any combination of reading hours and volunteer hours. The class with the most raised will be earning a surprise event for their class.

Following the reading challenge, scholars will be celebrating with a Tournament Day on campus to include guest readers, special in-class activities, and an obstacle course.

Should you have any questions regarding this event, please join our Parent Square group “Tournament of Readers” and the co-chairs will help address them.

Thank you!!!
